Just a last little blog to give you a flavor of our trip from Petit Trou to Port au Prince. Unfortunately the pictures loaded backwards and I'm not blog literate enough to move them. So let me explain bottom to top. The bottom two pictures are Yvonne and me crossing. We start out all cozy and then our boat men required us to move, yikes! The man in the back was the one who kept telling us how he couldn't swim. The next picture up is Mike's crossing. I titled this "Low Riding" And above that is just another little river we were able to cross in vehicle, just to give you the flavor of the level of the waters. The top and best picture of the day, is Mike's face shining with relief and joy that we were all across. That picture tells a thousand words! The last day of trip was easy and uneventful and as I sit here in my kitchen this morning, I keep pinching myself that two days ago I was sitting in a dugout canoe crossing a raging river. I think I'll contemplate that as I take a long, hot shower in my very own bathroom. Cheers to all and thanks for following and supporting us! Teresa
